Nikolai Alexandrovich Kochetygov

was born in 1951 in the city of Kitmanovo in Altai.

In 1967, he finished secondary school.

From 1967 to 1971, he studied at the Mining Institute in the specialty of “technology of mineral exploration”.

From 1971 to 1973, he served in the Soviet Army in Kamchatka.

He then worked in a range of jobs: master of drilling operations, crew head, and assistant director of the geological party in the Yelizovo Geophysical Expedition.

In 1993, he moved because of corporate restructuring to the tour company “Krechet”, where he worked until 2009 as a manager of tourism camps.

Since 2009, he has been working at the Kronotsky Reserve as the head of core activities.
